The nominees for this year’s second Annual Rochford District Sports Awards, sponsored by Virgin Active, have been announced.
The incredibly high standard of nominees in each category this year meant the judging panel had a difficult job in selecting the shortlist, particularly in the Young Sports Personality of the Year category where four of our talented young sports people have been shortlisted.
Rochford-born Commonwealth Gold Medal winning decathlete Dean Macey will be the star guest at the event which takes place at The Freight House, Rochford on the evening of 22 October. BBC Essex’s Ben Fryer will once again be compering.
