"Nominated with Distinction" awards go to Geoff Smith and Charlotte Twydel in the "Services to Sport" category. Hawkwell Athletic is also awarded a "Nominated with Distinction" in the Sports Club of the Year category, The Certificate for the club award was picked up by "Big" Dave Blyth.
Another high standard of entries for the Rochford District Sports Awards with all those attending thoroughly deserving to win the top spot. But only one can win in each category and this year it was not the turn of our coaches or the club.
However coming second out of all the Sports Club in the Rochford & District area is no mean feat. Well done to both Geoff and Charlie for their deserved recognition for everything they do for the club and the players.
