Rochford District Council have postponed the use of every single pitch under its control in the district for the weekend of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th January.
"So what, why is this news worthy?" I hear you scream, well, due to the clubs policy of pitch protection during bad weather and the imense hard work that is undertaken by Kevin D, George F, Steve D and many others, Hawkwell Athletic are able to open 5 out of its 7 pitches for matches this weekend.
