Hawkwell Athletic have again been awarded with the Essex FA Coach of the Year title. Following the success of Darren Hawks last year, Craig Leverington has been honoured with this award. It was presented by Michael Game, Chairman of the Essex County FA, at an awards evening held at the Waterfront Place Restaurant in Chelmsford.

Craig Leverington (Hawkwell Athletic YFC and Referee): Craig has also been involved at Hawkwell for over 30 years and is currently responsible for the
club’s ‘Football for Fun’ sessions where he arranges the content and leads the team coaching the club’s budding young players aged six to eight who are new to the game. He also recently completed The FA’s Adult Mentoring Course and has started to implement the philosophy and the importance of continual development.
In 2010, Craig assumed responsibility for expanding the club’s girls’ section.
